Why Eggs Would Have Been A Better Option?
Dear Darwin Dada,
Darwin's book introduced the theory that populations evolve over the course of generations through a process of natural selection 1.
Despite clever selections a lot of mistakes remain in the evolution of species. I was quite surprised that human males selected to produce sperms, while the females chose to produce the counterpart. Not only that, why did the females choose to bear the baby inside their womb. 9 months is pretty much a long period. They should have learned the lesson from hens and lizards that it is much easy to lay eggs and let the baby hatch outside. If creatures as huge as alligators and dinosaurs could do it, why not the human females. No morning sickness, no dizziness, no change of taste and sudden binges, nothing to cope with.
The fashion industry is booming and size zero has zeroed in everywhere. Giving birth to a baby makes the size zero to an actual round zero at the waistline as well as many other lines. It is time to reverse the evolution process and get back to laying eggs. It will serve to be a smart move to maintain the size zero.
The maternity wards will be free for the treatment of other important diseases and a lot of patients will reap the benefits. A lot of time will be saved as it is well known that babies hatched out of eggs do no need to be breast fed - another advantage for working females. The only disadvantage is the maternity leave of three months will have to sacrificed.
Sexual promiscuity is on the rise and contraceptive failures are inevitable. Laying eggs after getting laid, would have been a much safer option than abortion or single motherhood.
Darwin Dada, I still don't know whether natural selection was really a selection or an imposition or simply a creation.
